Whoowee! Our family expanded on Sunday, January 29, 2006 when Matthew joined us. Check out Matthew's website for details of his birth and some neat pictures.
Greetings to you this Christmas season as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus. We hope your past year has been a good one for you. Ours has been event filled and blessed by God. The years seem to fly by the older we get and the more children we have.
Mary likes to share her popcorn with Daddy.
We have a new addition to our family, Mary Caroline Hammond. She was born July 9, 2004 (she's not so new anymore). She's got quite the personality. At almost 1 ½ years old she's already tormenting her older brother. Her vocabulary is very limited but she always gets her point across. We think she's going to be an animal lover and a book worm. It's very evident that she's Daddy's little girl.
Daniel is really cutting a groove on the drumset at church.
Daniel is 3 ½ already. He is such a little man. His vocabulary and grammar have just shot through the roof in the past year. Farmer, race car driver, fireman, train engineer, carpenter, and fisherman are some of his favorite characters he loves to be. Grandpa Hammond and Daddy are going to make him into a "gear head" yet. He also loves to sing and play the guitar, piano and drums. Some day Daniel would like to go to Africa with Grandpa Hollensteiner.
Soon the Lord will bless Daniel and Mary with a new baby brother, Matthew Robert Hammond. He's due to be born the first part of February. Mommy is going to have her hands full!! Daniel is very excited and asks about Matthew often. We're trying to prepare Mary, but we don't think she has a clue as to how her world is about to change.
Daniel and Mary are getting in on some fun "Mommy Time".
Judy is staying home with the children full time. It's definitely a never ending job but she wouldn't trade it for the world. Being pregnant and taking care of two small children can be a challenge at times but it's only a taste of what's to come. In the long run we think it will be good for the kids to be close in age. When she does have some free time she loves to scrapbook. She has finished Daniel's baby album and is now ready to begin Mary's baby album. She also loves to attend a Monday night women's Bible study.
Bob is still working at Computer Master's International. He's been there for about 12 ½ years now. There is never a lack of computer work to be done. Bob has officially entered his second childhood: his latest project is building two 4' x 8' tables for his new Scalextric Sport Digital 1/32 scale slot car set he got for his birthday. Daniel and Mary love to play with Daddy and his race cars. Bob is also involved in the technology ministry at Maple Avenue Christian Church where we attend. He tries to make sure all the computers run smoothly and everybody sounds good on stage.
In Christ's Love,
Bob, Judy, Daniel, and Mary
